Beware of offensive blog post! Sweeping generalisations ahead!!!!!!!! (How to tell smart people from stupid people)
I'm really getting sick of certian pretentious gits being fuckheads and acting like they know everything. Get over it. So a few people like your work. WOW. I'm so impressed. I just can't stand people boasting and acting like they know everything about everything and they are smarter than they actually are. It's quite easy to tell the difference between someone who is actually smart, and someone who thinks they are. Try asking the person who thinks they are smart what their favourite books, movies , past-times are, and you'll soon realise.
1. Smart people are almost ALWAYS prolific readers. They aren't too cool to read or some bullshit like that. Saying you don't like reading is basically the same as saying I need nothing that a book could give me, a book could in no way enrich my life or my mind.
2. Smart people Don't walk around saying "smart" things. See that guy blabbing on about the arrt piece up on the wall in the gallery? See how he's making mistakes left right and center and basically bullshiting to look like he knows something? Then see the kid sitting back on a chair, not saying anything and writing something in his notepad. Which one do you think is smarter?
3. Smart people don't like teenmovies (as in, american pie). I know this. Every person I know who has liked teen movies is either a dumb jock or his equally dumb (potential) girlfriend.
4. Smart people are not loudmouths. See, I'm willing to admit I'm not smart when it comes to that :P (this isn't, how to tell cara from everyone else in the world who is not as good as her)
5. Smart people are generally more open minded. And less zenophobic. The dumb jock telling racist jokes at the bar was probably not an a grade student.
I'll finish up for now, cuase I just found out jk updated her website. But stay tuned for the next time I'm in a bad mood. posted by muskawo at 7/07/2004 09:11:00 AM
